Kanaani, who is accompanying Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in his Doha visit, told reporters that the Doha visit is taking place in line with Iran’s regional and international efforts to help end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
In separate meetings with the Qatari Emir and the country’s prime minister and foreign minister, the latest developments in Palestine have been discussed, the spokesman said.
He added that the Zionist crimes have put the region on the verge of an explosion and there is the possibility for the situation to get out of control.
Referring to US vetoing of different resolutions in the UN Security Council over the past few days, Kanaani said that the US government is another obstacle to the establishment of ceasefire and stoppage of the Zionist attacks against Gaza.
He stressed that the end of the Zionist aggressions could provide a good chance for the release of the prisoners.
