Tehran, IRNA - Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on Monday that the inking of the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in various areas demonstrates the determination of Iran and Belarus to develop comprehensive relations.

High-ranking delegations of Iran and Belarus held a joint meeting in the presence of the Iranian president and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko on Monday.

Expressing satisfaction with the developing relations between Iran and Belarus, President Raisi said that inking MoUs in different areas show the resolve of the two countries to develop comprehensive ties.

Describing Iran-Belarus relations as good and constructive in the past 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, he emphasized the use of existing capacities to accelerate the bolstering of ties between the two states.

He also said that the use of the capacity of regional treaties such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the Eurasian Economic Union is effective in increasing economic ties between the two states and other independent countries.
