In a specialized roundtable focusing on fighting terrorism and extremism in the West Asia region concentrating on efforts made by the powerful commander of Islam and Iran, which was held at the Institute For Political And International Studies in Tehran on Saturday, Kanaani said that Martyr Soleimani has had a multidimensional character and that in line with the guideline of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the martyr’s multidimensional characteristics and school of thought should be studied precisely.
As the Supreme Leader stated, General Soleimani was a national and unifying character, and at the same time, he could bring about power for the country and he was a non-factional figure, the spokesman noted, adding that the martyr could enhance the might of Islam, region, and Iran at international level.
Kanaani went on to say that both the life and martyrdom of the great commander created power, so the arrogant power decided to assassinate him overtly because they could not tolerate his characteristics.
The enemy calculated that the aftermath of Soleimani’s assassination would be less than tolerating his empowering character; thus, they embarked on the terrorist act, he said.
However, his martyrdom enhanced Iran’s power and we all witnessed the empowering aspect of his funeral procession, the diplomat argued.
