Amirabdollahian made the remarks in a phone conversation with his South African counterpart Naledi Pandor.
During the conversation, the two foreign ministers discussed expansion of bilateral relations and international developments as well.
The Iranian foreign minister referred to holding an Iran-South Africa Joint Commission meeting in the near future and said that both countries are ready to take big steps to further enhance bilateral relations.
The South African foreign minister, for her part, expressed hope that the joint commission meeting will facilitate the implementation of the already-signed agreements between the two countries.
She also referred to Iran's negotiations with world powers over its peaceful nuclear technology and said that Pretoria hopes that all the negotiating sides will remain committed to diplomacy so that the talks will be successful and lead to the removal of all the sanctions on Tehran.
