New York, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Saturday met with his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mekdad to discuss the latest developments in Syria and the broader region.
The meeting that took place on the sidelines of the 77th United Nations General Assembly in New York and the two foreign ministers discussed the latest trends on settlement of the Syrian crisis.
Amirabdollahian had previously participated in the trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of the Astana Process, along with foreign ministers of Russia and Turkey and the UN envoy in Syrian affairs.
