US blacklists 1 Iranian individual, 4 companies for fear of development in drone industry

New York, IRNA - While Vienna Talks are waiting for Washington's decision and the White House is claiming a diplomatic approach towards Iran, the US Department of Treasury has blacklisted an Iranian individual and 4 companies for fear of developing drone industry.

"OFAC is designating three companies and one individual involved in the research, development, production, and procurement of Iranian UAVs and UAV components, including the Shahed series of drones, for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its Aerospace Force (IRGC ASF) and Navy,” US Department of Treasury said.

It claimed that Tehran-based Safiran Airport Services (Safiran) has coordinated Russian military flights between Iran and Russia, including those associated with transporting Iranian UAVs, personnel, and related equipment from Iran to Russia.

Design and Manufacturing of Aircraft Engines (DAMA) was another Iranian company which was claimed to involved in the research, development, and production of the Iranian Shahed-171 UAV program, which is owned by the IRGC ASF.

Paravar Pars Company and Baharestan Kish Company were also on the US Department of Treasury list.
