Iran, Kyrgyzstan discuss ways to bring peace, stability to Afghanistan

Tehran, IRNA - Special representative of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Afghanistan Hassan Kazemi Qomi and Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev on Monday discussed ways to help resolve Afghanistan's problems and establish lasting peace and stability in the country.

Kazemi Qomi and Kulubaev met and held talks on Monday in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the development of the situation in Afghanistan and ways to resolve the country's problem.

Stressing the need and importance of talking with the Afghan government to prevent further escalation in the country, Kulubaev noted that any escalation in Afghanistan can negatively affect regional security issues.

The two sides agreed to continue political talks with the help of resolving Afghanistan's issues so that maximum support for the people of this war-hit country is aimed at building a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.
