In an interview with IRNA on Monday, Alireza Salimi, a member of the Iranian Parliament's presiding board, said the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has deviated from the technical path, as the US and the three European signatories of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal are ready to propose an anti-Iranian draft resolution in the upcoming IAEA Board of Governors meeting.
The fact that the IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi traveled to the occupied Palestine for consultations or receiving guidance and was managed by the Israeli regime's prime minister Naftali Bennett indicated that he has turned into an employee of the Zionists and the agency has lost its independence, Salimi said.
Unfortunately the IAEA has turned into a pawn of the Zionists, the lawmaker noted, adding that Iran expected the director-general to comply with his own past reports denying any deviation in Iran’s nuclear program.
He underlined that over 60 percent of all the IAEA global inspection affair has been allocated to Iran’s nuclear facilities, noting that this is the highest level of inspection ever enforced.
The MP called the IAEA accusations a threadbare scenario to pressure Iran to give concessions in the nuclear talks.
Salimi called on the European participants of the nuclear deal, formally called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), to explain why they failed to fulfil their commitments under the deal and what happened to the mechanisms they proposed to compensate for Iran’s economic benefits from the deal that was curbed by the US sanctions.
Europeans owe Iran in the issues of the JCPOA, but they pretend to be creditors to fore Tehran to give concessions and scare some other countries, he continued.
He also said that Iran's Parliament enacted Strategic Action to remove Sanctions and Protect Iranian Nation's Interests act and the Parliament observes precise enforcement of the act.
