-- Security chief: Iran’s main strategy to render sanctions ineffective

Iran’s top security official said Wednesday the country’s main strategy is to create mechanisms to neutralize the sanctions it is facing in parallel with efforts to get them removed.

-- Iran to UN: US senator ‘inciting terror’

Iran strongly denounced recent comments by an American senator who encouraged Israel to assassinate more Iranian scientists, saying the remarks amount to incitement to terrorism, which is a flagrant violation of international law.

-- Lavrov: Third World War would be nuclear, destructive

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday warned that if a Third World War were to occur, it would involve nuclear weapons and be destructive.
The comments reported by the RIA news agency came a day after Lavrov told a Geneva disarmament meeting via video link that neighboring Ukraine, against which Russia launched a “military operation” last week, had been seeking nuclear weapons.

-- Eurozone Inflation Hits Record; Oil at $110

Oil prices are surging again as the Russia-Ukraine conflict continues, pushing crude up to $110 a barrel.
Eurozone inflation soared in February to a record high of 5.8 percent, mainly on the back of surging energy prices, the EU’s official statistics agency Eurostat said Wednesday.

-- The Observances of Sha’ban & Its Virtues

Sha’ban is a month of great merits. It is associated with Prophet Muhammad (SAWA). He would fast throughout the month and say: “Sha’ban is my month; whoever fasts a day of this month of mine will surely be admitted into paradise.”

-- Russian Troops Capture Port on Black Sea

Russian forces said they had captured a port on the Black Sea on Wednesday as Russian and Ukrainian troops battled for another city.
The Russian army said it had taken control of Kherson, as its troops advanced and pounded cities across southern and eastern Ukraine, defying sanctions and isolation.
