-- Leader blames US for Ukraine crisis, urges end to war

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei blamed the United States for the current Ukraine crisis, and demanded an end to the war in Ukraine, saying the Islamic Republic of Iran always opposes war and destruction anywhere in the world.

-- Iran says has plan B for Vienna talks

Iran on Tuesday warned the United States against “bluffs and blusters” in the Vienna talks on the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal, stressing that Tehran is willing to reach an agreement through negotiations but will not wait forever.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh made the comment in a post on his Twitter account early on Tuesday after US State Department spokesman Ned Price said Washington was prepared to walk away from the talks in the Austrian capital if Iran displayed “an intransigence to making progress.”

-- Lavrov: US nukes in Europe unacceptable for Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday that Moscow found it unacceptable that some European countries hosted US nuclear weapons and were taking measures to prevent Ukraine from acquiring similar weapons.
“It is unacceptable for us that, contrary to the fundamental principles of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, US nuclear weapons are still present on the territory of some European countries,” Lavrov said while addressing the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva via a video call, Sputnik reported.
