Khatibzadeh informed the media people at his weekly press conference about the news while saying that no new development in that regard has been reported thus far.
“We are still waiting for Riyadh’s response. To the extent that they will show seriousness, we are ready to have progress in the negotiations both regarding the regional developments and on bilateral ties. We invite Riyadh to resort or political and diplomatic solutions and refrain from interference in other countries’ internal affairs. The comprehensive regional plans, too, can be applied through mutual respect and comprehending the realities of those countries,” said Khatibzadeh.
The New Arab website, too, reporting that meeting wrote that the Ministers of foreign affairs of Iran and Saudi Arabia met and conferred in Islamabad on bilateral relations and Afghanistan.
