Saeid Pourabadi said here to IRNA that 300 kg of first-rate saffron was exported to Germany, 10 kg to the UAE, and 40 kg to Kuwait.
Saffron is cultivated in eight counties of North Khorasan Province, in northeastern Iran. Suitable climate, compatibility, low water demand, and ease of maintenance are an important factors in the development of this export product in this province.
