The Cultural Council of the Iranian Embassy in Japan organized the Cultural Month exhibition, which was held in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization on June 28 to July 30.
A gallery titled 'Beautiful Iran' attracted the visitors’ attention. The organizers also introduced Iranian foods to the visitors.
The visitors also watched movies on the Islamic Republic of Iran and enjoyed Iranian music.
Also, a painting exhibition entitled "Cultural exchanges between Iran and Japan" has been held by the Cultural Council of the Iranian Embassy in Japan for the first time with the participation of more than 36 artworks by 8 prominent Japanese artists on the verge of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
More than 50 pictures were used to introduce Iranian tourist attractions and nature to the visitors. The Cultural Council translated the information into Japanese language.
The Japan International Cooperation Agency assessed the exhibition as positive, declaring that over 2,000 people visited the event and around 324 people enjoyed Iranian food at JICA restaurant.
According to a report by JICA, some Japanese culture-loving visitors expressed readiness to travel to Iran and get more acquainted with the culture and nature of the great country.
The Cultural Council of the Iranian Embassy in Japan also organized other programs on the occasion of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, including a painting exhibition on cultural exchanges between Japan and Iran with the participation of eight prominent Japanese artists as well as preparation of "Iran" magazine.
