Senegalese Speaker stresses reinforcing parliamentary ties with Iran

Tehran, June 21, IRNA – The President of the National Assembly of Senegal Moustapha Niasse in a message expressed readiness for reinforcing parliamentary relations with the Iranian Parliament.

In his message, Moustapha Niasse hoped for two parliaments to move in line with strengthening historical and brotherly relations.

He also congratulated Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf on his election as speaker of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis).

Iranian MPs elected Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf as the Parliament speaker for the first year of the new Parliament.

Qalibaf secured 230 votes out of a total of 264 votes cast to become Majlis speaker.
