Iran nuclear chief: Mustafa Prize not like Noble Prize

Tehran, Dec 3, IRNA – Iran's nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi said on Sunday he had no willingness that Mustafa Prize becomes similar to Noble Prize.

'Mustafa Prize is an Islamic one and there is no reason to compare it with other prizes since it has its own features and I hope it will move forward in the same way it has been held so far and will find its place step by step,' Salehi said while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a ceremony where the winners of Mustafa Prize were announced.

Mustafa Prize is awarded to Muslim scientists who have carried out significant research, the official said, noting that writing papers is not the only factor for receiving Mustafa Prize, rather research confirmed by international community is of special significance.

The Prize is a science and technology award granted to top researchers and scientists from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member-states biennially.
