'The Islamic Republic of Iran reiterates its support to the cause of Palestine and calls for prudence against the plots of the Zionist regime and its supporters trying to drive a wedge into the Islamic ummah and to sideline the issue of Palestine which is the main issue of the Islamic World,' the ministry said in a statement to mark Nakba Day -- anniversary of formation of Israeli regime in 1948.
'Ever since formation of the illegitimate Zionist regime in the heart of occupied Islamic lands in Palestine, we are witnessing the spiralling plight of the oppressed people of Palestine and nations of the regions,' it said.
The statement also introduced the occupying regime of Al-Quds as the main source of regional crises and the real threat to global peace and security.
The calamities of the about 6 million Palestinian refugees and thousands of Palestinian prisones, it stressed, will not be settled except by expatriation of refugess to their motherland, complete removal of occupation, and establishment of a unified Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
'Today, the Middle East region -- from Palestine to Syria and Yemen and its other regions -- is ablaze amid the Zionist conspiracy and that of the Tekfiri terrorist groups supported by the occupying regime of Al-Quds and by wrong policies of certain governments, while the silence and lack of activitiy of global community can by no means be justified,' read the statement.
