Adib-Soltani died at Tehran’s Mehr hospital on Thursday.
He was known in Iran for his translations of major philosophical works, including from Aristotle, Immanuel Kant, Bertrand Russell and Ludwig Wittgenstein as well as his researches into the origins of the Persian language.
Adib-Soltani was a medicine graduate and had studied psychiatry in Vienna.
