The Iranian Oil Ministry emphasized that in order to help to the establishment of energy security the world energy market needs should not be politicized.
"Any sort of meddling in energy market economy, including political interferences, have in the past led to lose-lose games for the entire players in energy field, and does not help to overcome energy shortages and sufficient energy supply for the world," it said.
It further said that keeping in mind the entire prevailing uncertainties, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermaths for the world economy, the decisions made by OPEC+ member countries during the past three years had to a great extent contributed to the stability and balance in world energy market to the benefit of both the producers and the consumers.
The Iranian Oil Ministry also stressed that the OPEC and non-OPEC oil producer countries have in a joint statement announced readiness for cooperation, and agreed that creating insecure and unstable economic and political situations leads to lack of programmed investments in development of oil and energy industries.
