The development of cooperation policies between Iran and Tajikistan as well as the deepening of relations between the two countries over the past two years has led to the growth of economic interactions, said Mohammad-Kazem Shirdel, the vice president of Iran-Tajikistan Chamber of Commerce, adding that bilateral trade is on the rise for the second consecutive year.
Referring to the stagnation of several years in terms of improving the level of economic relations, he said, “After the visit of the Iranian president to Tajikistan, the economic and commercial relations between the two countries are now in a favorable state as bilateral trade during the six months, to September 22, has grown by 250-300 percent compared to the related figure for last year.
-- Iran's global innovation ranking improved in 2022
A new report by the Global Innovation Index 2022 (GII 2022) shows that Iran's ranking improved seven positions, having the fastest performance in innovation growth and being second innovative country in the Central and South Asia region.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran makes a big leap, reaching the 53rd position; it takes third position among the lower middle-income group," the newly published report said.

-- Iran Holds Tajikistan Cultural Week
Tajikistan’s cultural week will be held simultaneously in Iran’s provinces including Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz following the agreement between Iran-Tajikistan’s cultural authorities.
The Cultural Week of the Republic of Tajikistan will be held in Iran during October 3-8 in Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz.
The cultural event includes performances by artistic groups including performance groups, bands, poetry readings by Tajik poets, and exhibitions of paintings, photographs, handicrafts, and national costumes.

-- IRGC commander: Operations in Kurdistan will continue until terrorists are disarmed
The Israeli regime is using anti-revolutionary bases in northern Iraq against Iran, the commander of the IRGC ground force has said, insisting operations against terrorist groups will continue until they are disarmed.
In an interview published on Monday, Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour announced that the forces under his command have hit 40 terrorist targets with tens of suicide drones.
-- ‘Iranian oil being uninterruptedly exported to target markets’
Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji said that the country’s crude oil exports to the target markets are being carried out without any problems.
“Fortunately, by identifying new markets and customers and new export processes, we have been able to find good markets and there has been no stoppage in the export of crude oil”, the minister reiterated, adding that the U.S. has repeatedly admitted that the sanctions have had on effect on the sale of Iranian oil.

Iran ranks second with 74 universities in the D8 university ranking 2021. D8 includes major Muslim developing countries namely, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.
The D8 group considers the most important missions of universities, which include research, innovation, education, and international activities.
