In reaction to the statement issued in the 158th meeting of foreign ministers of the Arab League and the Quartet Committee, Kanaani said that such statements indicate the lack of proper understanding by some of those states about the developments in the region and ignoring the realities of the West Asia region.
Instead of repeating redundant and worthless accusations, Kanaani advised those states to focus on the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Palestine.
He also called such statements contradictory at the same time as some of these states are improving their relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and once again reiterated Iran's permanent stance in inviting its neighbors to talk and resolve misunderstandings through diplomatic channels.
Pointing to the three Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf, Kanaani called all Iran's actions within the framework of exercising sovereignty over the country's territorial integrity and condemned the interference of others in that issue.
Referring to the full control and capability of the Iranian armed forces in guarding the safety of navigation in the Persian Gulf region and being vigilant against any maritime acts of mischief and insecurity, he underscored that the security of the region must be maintained by the states of the region without foreign interference.
