According to Lebanon's Al Ahd news website, Hijazi attended the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Beirut on Saturday and congratulated Mojtaba Amani as the Islamic Republic's new ambassador to Lebanon.
He appreciated the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in preventing Lebanon and the region from falling into the trap of many plots aimed at changing the region's identity and destroying its true goals which Palestine liberation is the most essential of it.
He thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran’s initiatives in supporting the Lebanese people, which help them overcome their suffering, including agreeing to send fuel.
Amani, for his part, stressed Iran's willingness to provide comprehensive support to the Lebanese people and to be prepared to send unconditional fuel as soon as the Lebanese government accepts and sends an official delegation to Tehran to coordinate directly for the implementation of this plan.
