Raisi made the remarks during a phone conversation with his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
The president also referred to gas cooperation and said that there is good cooperation underway for enforcement of a gas swap project between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan via Iran.
The Turkmen president, for his part, called for more enhanced cooperation between the two countries in the international organizations.
Berdimuhamedow said that the gas swap project between his country and Azerbaijan via Iranian soil is of special significance. He urged the three countries to establish a joint cooperation commission to discuss the issue.
