Spokesman: Iran determined to build world free of violation, extremism

Tehran, IRNA – Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said that the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a country that has been a target of all forms of terrorism since its establishment, supports all those who survived the terrorist acts.

In a message on Wednesday to a conference commemorating those martyred in terrorist attacks, Khatibzadeh said that the pain of the families of victims of terrorism cannot be suffered alone and all the world community should be involved.

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been targeted by all types of terrorism, including political terrorism, economic terrorism, and mass terrorist attacks, and stands with survivals of terrorism with all this valuable experience.

In addition to the Iranian nuclear scientists assassinated, the spokesman pointed to the late General Qasem Soleimani who was assassinated by the US army, while he was fighting the ISIS terrorists in Iran and Syria.

Iran has proved that terrorism and extremism are the consequence of inefficiency in the current situation of the international arena, rather than being the product of a specific religion, Khatibzadeh opined.

No one can neglect the role of the adventurist, notorious politicians in creating what is seen today in the West Asia region, he said, adding that these politicians sell the war as a natural and normal reality in this region, providing the most fertile environment for breeding extremism.

Pointing to the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the spokesman said that these politicians accept no responsibility when the fire of war inflames and they leave the region and run and also unashamedly lie about their achievements.

He underlined that Iran is determined to create a world free of violence and extremism; a world in which people decide their fate on their own.
