US commits crime in Afghanistan under guise of human rights

Tehran, IRNA - Some political leaders, lawmakers, university professors, and analysts have underlined that the United States and NATO have turned Afghanistan into a burning hell and committed crimes under the pretext of supporting human rights.

Participants in the webinar of Reviewing American Human Rights and Democracy in Afghanistan said on Monday that the United States created and supported terrorist groups, in particular Daesh, in order to spread corruption and drug trafficking in Afghanistan; and now, more than 80 percent of narcotics of the world is being produced in the war-stricken country.

The webinar was organized by the Foundation of Martyr Dr. Mousavi Gardizi. Seyyed Mohammad Ali Shah Mousavi Gardizi was born in 1959 in Gardiz, the capital of Paktia Province, Afghanistan. Gardizi was killed on August 3, 2016, in an attack by members of the Daesh terrorist group after performing Friday prayers at the Sahib al-Zaman Mosque in the Khaja Hassan area.

Iran's Cultural Attaché in Kabul Nasser Jahanshahi stated that Martyr Mousavi Gardizi returned to Afghanistan from Iran to help rebuild his country, but the US army incarcerated him for a long time, because he backed religious values and the Muslim nation of his homeland.

Seyed Issa Hosseini Mazari, the Director General of Tebyan Center for Cultural and Social Activities, addressed the webinar that the martyrdom of Dr. Mousavi Gardizi by American forces reveals the American style of human rights more than before. Mazari emphasized that the people of Afghanistan must become aware of the real face of the United States.

20 years of US crimes in Afghanistan

Gholam-Hossein Naseri, an Afghan MP, said that in light of 20 years of military presence of the US and NATO, Afghanistan has turned into a burning hell and that terrorism has not yet been eliminated, adding that harvesting and trafficking of drugs have not decreased.

Akram Arefi, a university professor and political analyst, said that the United States has violated human rights and committed war crimes in Afghanistan during their 20-year-long military presence.

Mohammad Hassan Ja'fari, the Secretary General of Afghanistan National Welfare Party, said that the Americans have turned Afghanistan into a failed state and that their proxy elements are still in the war-torn country. According to ex-US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former US President Donald Trump, the United States supported Taliban, Daesh, and other terrorist groups.

The US presence in Afghanistan has led to spread of war, corruptionو and wrongdoings, said Maulvi Mukhtar Mufleh, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Afghanistan.

Abdullatif Nazari, a university professor, addressed the webinar that the Americans did not come to Afghanistan to help to develop the country bu to monitor their rivals, such as Russia, China, and Iran.
