The sound of explosions was heard in Sana’a at the same time fighter jets were spotted flying in the sky of this country, the Al Jazeera channel reported on Tuesday morning.
An American was quoted by the news network that US forces along with Britain and other allies of a newly formed coalition carried out attacks on Yemeni positions.
Yemeni officials or media have yet to comment on the attacks but Sabrin News on its Telegram also reported that Al-Sawad, Al-Dailami, Al-Hafa and Al-Nahda military bases were targeted by warplanes.
According to the Al-Mayadeen network, an area of Taiz province in the southwest of Yemen as well as provinces of Hajjah and Bayda were the target of attacks.
The US and the UK have launched their aerial strikes on Yemen multiple times in recent weeks after a UN security council resolution on the Red Sea in order to protect Israeli interest, especially the Yemen army’s attacks on Israeli or Israeli-bound ships over the regime’s genocide in Gaza.
The attacks have sparked condemnations with many countries accusing Washington and London of violating Yemen’s sovereignty.
