Aleinik made the remarks in a meeting in Minsk on Saturday with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani who has travelled to Belarus for the sixth round of political talks between the two countries.
The Belarusian foreign minister also praised cooperation between Iran and Belarus in international organizations and called for Iran’s support for Belarus’ bid for SCO and BRICS membership.
The Iranian diplomat, for his part, said that the perspective for future ties between Iran and Belarus is bright.
Bagheri said that an upcoming visit to Belarus by Iranian First Vice-President Mohammad Mokhber, as well as the 16th Iran-Belarus Economic Commission session, is indicative of the rising course of relations between the two countries.
