In a Twitter post on Tuesday, Nasse Kanaani criticized the European Parliament for its decision to host a ringleader of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), aka MEK, under the pretext of supporting human rights in Iran.
“What does Human Rights have to do with supporting terrorists?” said Kanaani in his tweet.
“Despite EP human rights slogans, it's regrettable some of its members turn blind eye to dark record of those who killed over 17,000 Iranian kids, women, men, statesmen & MPs, hosting ringleader of terror outfit #MEK,” he said.
Iranian government figures show the MKO has killed more than 17,000 Iranian in nearly four decades the group has been engaged in terrorist activities against Iran.
