--Iranian carmaker to launch production line in Armenia

A senior official from Iran’s Industry Ministry said an Iranian carmaker and a private investor in Armenia will team up to launch a car production facility in the Caucasian country.
Alireza Peyman-Pak, who heads Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization, said that the Iranian Industry Ministry and Armenia’s Ministry of Economy have been pursuing the joint project for manufacturing an Iranian car model in Armenia, Press TV reported.
“An initial agreement has been reached for setting up the production line for an Iranian-made car in Armenia and a feasibility study is being carried out on the basis of this agreement,” Peyman-Pak noted.

-- Iran’s six-month alumina powder production up: IMIDRO

Production of alumina powder in Iran rose 2% in the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21-September 22), compared to the corresponding figure of its preceding year, according to the data released by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
The IMIDRO data put the alumina powder output at 118,845 tons in the six-month period of this year, while the related figure in 2021 was 116,192 tons.

-- Caravanserais, important ancient structures in Ardebil

It can be said that the caravanserais are similar to modern rest areas, built on the roads, which are equipped with fuel stations, prayer rooms, restaurants and other facilities, IRNA reported.
A caravan was a large group of people traveling together in one long line. People who carried their cargo with four-legged animals used to rest in places called caravanserais between villages and cities.

-- Iran Extends Range of Bavar System to 300 km

Commander of the Army’s Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard said Sunday Iranian military experts and technicians have expanded the operational range of the domestically-designed and manufactured Bavar-373 (Belief-373) surface-to-air missile system to 300 kilometers.
Addressing a ceremony at Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense University here, the high-ranking commander said that Iran has run initial tests on Bavar-373 missile system at an operational range of 300 kilomet ers praising the country’s progress in the development of air defense systems for high altitudes.

-- Iran Agrees to Revive Oil Swap Deal With Kazakhstan

Iran has also agreed to resume an oil swap deal with Kazakhstan some 10 years after the deal stalled due to technical and political problems. Iranian Petroleum Ministry has reported that a final agreement had been reached on the restoration of the oil swap deal between Iran and Kazakhstan during a visit by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to the Kazakh capital of Astana, earlier this week.

The report cited a statement from Raisi upon his return from Astana where he attended a major regional summit while he also held meetings with senior Kazakh government officials to discuss increased economic and trade ties between Iran and Kazakhstan.

-- Minister: Exports to Replace Oil Revenues

Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin said on Sunday that the Islamic Republic’s export is growing very fast, and that there is only a 3.5-billion-dollar gap to be able to omit oil revenues from the country’s trade balance.
Fatemi Amin made the remarks in the Standard Week in Tehran that the volume of non-oil exports and imports reached 48.5 and 52 billion dollars, respectively during last year, showing a significant increase in Iran’s non-oil export.

-- Iranian children’s series Golden Books returns to stores after 58 years    

 Golden Books, a series published in Iran for children 58 years ago, have returned to bookstores across the country to delight new generations. The Amir Kabir Publishing Company first published the collection comprising about 80 great classics of the world’s literature with front covers in gold.
    
The streamlined stories attracted Iranian children at that time and even appealed to adults.

-- Iran’s current account balance to rise nearly $21b in 2022: IMF

International Monetary Fund (IMF), in its latest estimates of the world’s macroeconomic indicators, has seen Iran’s current account balance increase by $20.886 billion in 2022. Based on the IMF data, Iran’s account balance reached $32.031 billion in 2022 from $11.145 billion in the previous year.

According to the fund, the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) based on purchasing power parity reached $1.6 trillion in 2022, indicating an increase of $150 billion from $1.45 trillion in 2021.

-- Health insurance pays $15.6m for infertility treatment

A total of 5 trillion rials (around $15.6 million) has been spent on infertility treatment and population youth law in the first six months of this year which began on March 21, the deputy head of the Health Insurance Organization has said.

Iran’s universal public health insurance scheme, known as Salamat Health Insurance, covers hospitalization, para-clinical and outpatient services, including doctor’s visits, radiology, lab tests, and medication costs at any public hospital affiliated with the Ministry of Health.
