According to IRNA, Iran’s deputy foreign minister and top negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani, heading a delegation, arrived in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its statement said that Qatar welcomes hosting a round of indirect talks between the US and the Islamic Republic of Iran in Doha.
According to the statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates Qatar's full readiness to provide the environment that will help all parties achieve a successful dialogue.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the statement, expressed hope over the success of the talks in reviving the 2015 nuclear deal (JCPOA) and hoped that nuclear talks in Doha culminates in positive results.
In a related development, the new spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Naser Kanani said that the visit of Bagheri Kani to Doha takes place within the framework of agreements on continuation of talks on removal of the sanctions.
What is important for Iran is to gain economic advantages from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), according to Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian.
