Iran Pres urges nat'l bodies to make effort to open schools as of Nov 22

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has called on ministries of education and health to plan for opening schools and universities as of November 22 (first day of ninth Iranian calendar year).

Vaccination of students should be followed up seriously, President Raisi said at the national task force for fighting coronavirus in Tehran on Saturday.

In his remarks, the president stressed the need to follow health protocols.

Further, he expressed hope that the country would well deal with the next wave of the deadly virus.

It was on October 2 that President Raisi stressed the importance of coordination between Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education to vaccinate students above 12 year old against COVID-19.

Since its outbreak in December 2019, the deadly coronavirus has killed over 5,000,000 worldwide.

The number of the dead in Iran has passed 126,000.
