FM: Iran interested in developing ties with Switzerland

New York, IRNA - Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in a meeting with his Swiss counterpart Ignazio Cassis expressed Iran's readiness to develop bilateral relations with Switzerland more than ever.

During the meeting which was held on the sidelines of the 76th UNGA session, Amir Abdollahian called for Swiss companies' presence in Iranian economic and development projects.

Fortunately, there are good frameworks for strengthening bilateral relations and the joint economic commission will be held soon.

Elaborating on Iran stances regarding the JCPOA, he said that unfortunately, the US was not honest in nuclear talks.

He added that Washington has no way but to change its approach.

Meanwhile, Cassis said the Switzerland attaches great importance to relations with Iran.

He stressed Bern's readiness for promoting all-out ties with Iran and paving the grounds for taking advantage of Swiss financial channel to provide the goods Iran needs.
