Hamas sympathizes with victims of Iran deadly floods

Tehran, April 9, IRNA - Head of Palestine Islamic Resistance Movement’s Political Office Ismail Haniyeh in a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed sympathy with victims of the recent flash floods in Iran.

Both sides also discussed the latest developments in Palestine especially US bullying, Washington's efforts to cover Zionists' crimes in Holy Quds and West Bank and cruel blockade of Palestinians.

Haniyeh underlined the importance of establishing coordination between two countries to confront strategic dangers against ideals of Palestinians and the Islamic World.

Meanwhile, he appreciated Iran's supports for Resistance and the Palestinians.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Haniyeh stressed the importance of Palestinians' unity against the so-called 'Deal of Century', the role of the Islamic Ummah in confronting the danger of normalization of ties with the Zionist regime of Israel and escalating efforts in the international and political bodies to support Palestinian people.

Unprecedented heavy rains caused floods in various parts of Iran over the past two weeks. Scores of people were killed and injured and a large number were displaced across the country.

The disaster coincided with the high season of Iranian trips as they were spending the national two-week holidays of Nowruz.

Relocation of US embassy from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds, complicity in crimes against Palestinians, recognizing Israel sovereignty over Golan Heights and blacklisting blacklist Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) are among recent anti-humane choices adopted by US.
