The event was held with the attendance of 850 participants, 120 lecturer and 600 posters from 130 countries in Bangkok, Thailand, deputy Iran traffic police commander for social and cultural affairs Colonel Einollah Jahani said.
The biannual conference which is organized by World Health Organization (WHO), Thailand Health Ministry and the emergency is aimed at preventing violence and accidents in line with achieving sustainable development, he said.
Iranian Traffic Police presenting short films, photos, posters and cultural animations for promoting culture and obeying traffic rules could stand on the second place after the US, Jahani said.
The 13th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion (Safety 2018) brings together over 1000 of the world's leading researchers, practitioners, policy-makers and activists to share information and experiences and to discuss solutions. Conference's major theme is “Advancing injury and violence prevention towards SDGs”.
