In a letter to Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif on Monday, Chaqazardi voiced pleasure over the second year of Sepah Bank's getting rid of the sanctions and thanked senior Iranian senior officials for efforts in connection with lifting of sanctions.
He said based on the statistics released by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), Sepah Bank has gained top rank in foreign exchange operations in the country.
The letter read that Sepah Bank had prior to the UN's 2007 sanctions, played an effective role in the country's economy and had to stop its international activities for a period of nine months. 'The outcome of such a halt was evident in all sectors of the bank and entailed a series of problems and consequences.'
Thanks to the efforts of the nuclear negotiating team and under the foreign minister's management and prudence, a big epic came about and the most brilliant event took place in the history of Sepah Bank, he added.
