Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA – The occupying force of Zionist regime is not able to attack Iran, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Seyed Hassan Firouzabadi said here on Friday.

He was talking to reporters on the sidelines of September 21 military parades marking the anniversary of the Week of Sacred Defense here in Tehran on Friday morning.

“Enemy threats against Islamic Republic of Iran are the result of their miscalculations as well as their fear of Iran’s increasing power.”

The high-ranking official noted that Iran will reciprocate any aggression against the country with an 'immediate' and 'non-stop' response.

Chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces added, 'We do not feel threatened by the boastful remarks of Zionist leaders, because they are creatures with deep fright who continue crying out since they know that Iran's response to threats will be readymade, immediate and non-stop.”

'The Zionist regime officials have confessed that military operations against Iran can neither be done by Israel nor is useful for them,' Firouzabadi added.

He also stated that Iran's armed forces today are unpredictable and their strategy and actions cannot be foreseen by the enemies.

The Sacred Defense Week, commemorating Iranians' sacrifices during the 8 years of Iraqi imposed war on Iran in 1980s, started on Friday with nationwide parades by various units of the Islamic Republic Army, Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and Basij (volunteer) forces in Southern Tehran.

The ceremony took place at the mausoleum of the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the Late Imam Khomeini, in Southern Tehran.

Different units of Iran's military forces marched in uniform before top Army and IRGC commanders in a show of military might and defensive power.

The ceremony was participated by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and senior military and government officials as well as foreign diplomats, military attaches and reporters.

Typical units of the Islamic Republic Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Basij (volunteer) forces and the Islamic Republic of Iran's Law Enforcement Police participated in the parade.

The Shahab-3 has a range of up to 1,250 miles (2000 kilometers) and is capable of carrying a 1,000-760 kilogram warhead.

This is while the solid-fuel, two-stage Sejjil missile with two engines, is capable of reaching a very high altitude and therefore has a longer range than that of the Shahab 3 model.

The latest military and defense achievements made by the Iranian experts were put on display at the parade.
