ILO seeking broader cooperation with Iran

Tehran, Nov 10, IRNA – Director General of the International Labor Organization Guy Ryder said Monday that the ILO is seeking broader cooperation with Iran.

Ryder made the remarks in a meeting in Geneva, Switzerland with Iranian Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Mohammad-Taqi Hosseini.



Underlining Iran's influential role in the ILO, Ryder stressed the need for enhanced cooperation with Tehran.



The Iranian deputy labor minister, who is in Geneva to attend the 322nd session of the ILO governing body, for his part, said Iran, as a founding member and a member of the governing body welcomes initiatives put forward by the ILO director general to give a boost to activities of the organization.



Hosseini also voiced Tehran's readiness to share experiences with the ILO in different areas to help the international body achieve its targets.
