She is in the event’s competition section jury along with big names such as Sofia Coppola, Gael García Bernal, Willem Dafoe and Nicolas Winding Refn who are among the nine-strong panel alongside its president Jane Campion at Cannes this year.
Hatami is fluent in French. She earlier starred in the Oscar-winning ‘A Separation’.
The 67th Cannes runs from May 15-25, 2014.
