Chaharshanbe Soori, the last Tuesday of the Iranian calendar year, is a ritual celebrated across Iran annually. On the day, the Iranian people burn fires to celebrate the dominance of light over darkness. Then, individuals jump over small fires as a symbol of burning the dull dark winter nights to welcome bright spring days.
