Tehran, IRNA – A Hamas security official has dismissed the Israeli regime’s allegations that tens of members of the Palestinian resistance movement have been arrested during the ongoing attack and siege of the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Al Jazeera TV on Friday that the footage released by the Israeli regime that shows the arrested Hamas members at the hospital is not accurate.

The regime has released the footage as part of its psychological warfare against resistance groups in Gaza, the Hamas official said, adding that some videos show people who are either outside Gaza or have been martyred.

Three more videos also show medics whom had already been released from Israeli custody.

According to Palestinian officials in Gaza, the Israeli regime put a siege on Gaza City’s Al-Shifa Hospital on March 19, cutting off electricity and water to the medical complex which is the largest in the Gaza Strip. More than a dozen patients have lost their lives as a result, the officials said.

The siege has remained in place since then, and the regime has announced plans to continue it for several more days.

Hamas on Friday condemned the attack on Al-Shifa Hospital, where according to the Gaza Health Ministry 30-thousand displaced Palestinians are taking shelter, saying that the attack is part of the systematic destruction of health facilities in Gaza.

The resistance movement also denounced what it called the shameful silence of the international community to stop the Israeli war.
