Tehran, IRNA- A senior official of an Iraqi resistance group says the recent decision to halt attacks on American bases and facilities was tactical one, warning of “a looming storm” against invaders and occupiers.

According to IRNA's Foreign Policy Group, Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi, the Secretary General of the Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba resistance movement made the remarks while addressing the group's supporters about the strategy to confront American and Zionist invaders.

Al-Kaabi issued a 6-point statement on Sunday, a copy of which was also obtained by IRNA.

While complaining about the betrayal of Iraqi resistance forces by some politicians, Al-Kaabi said his group completely abides by the decisions taken by the Iraqi Resistance Front but said "we will either win or be martyred in our continued efforts to target the Zionist regime and expel the invaders from Iraq".

“The Iraqi resistance has played a significant role in the Gaza war and offered many martyrs, and these bloods have made us firm on the path of freedom”, he said.

The statement also touched on the US withdrawal from Iraq: We are not against consulting with our government regarding the timetable, but we emphasize that their withdrawal through dialogue is an "illusion" as "Americans only understand the language of force not dialogue".

He further noted that stopping the attacks on US positions was temporary due to the presence of traitors who passed out some information to the Americans but said this calm is before a storm.

While emphasizing that resistance groups are in harmony, Nujaba official pledged to continue to support Palestinians and expel the occupiers from Iraq.
