Reza Banihashemi said on Monday that the Plos Publications released an article on April 21 which studies the latest progress made around the world on developing new generations of COVID vaccines.
Hundreds of intranasal COVID vaccine projects are underway globally, 24 of which are at clinical trial stage, Banihashemi said citing the Plos article.
He added that merely five vaccines are at their final stage of being approved and used, including the Razi Cov Pars vaccine developed Iran’s Razi Institute.
Banihashemi said that three other vaccines from the top five cited in the Plos article have been developed in Russia, China, and India, while another one is being jointly developed by the US, Japan and the European Union.
