--Iran’s oil minister discusses energy ties in Turkmenistan
Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji in a visit to Turkmenistan discussed growing ties between the two energy-rich countries. Iran’s Oil Ministry’s news service Shana said in a Thursday report that Owji had met Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Foreign Minister Raşit Meredow, and top petroleum official Shahin Abdul Rahmanov during his one-day trip to Ashgabat.
The report said Owji had discussed Iran’s gas arrears to Turkmenistan, which amount to 470 million euros, as well as plans to expand swap agreements between the countries for transfer of natural gas, oil and oil products.

The gas output from Phase 11, and from all other 23 phases of supergiant South Pars Gas Field, will be increased dramatically, a senior oil industry figure close to Iran's Ministry of Petroleum said.
Last week, Iran said it is ramping up its gas production operations at South Pars with a focus on its Phase 11.
With an estimated 14.2 trillion cubic meters (tcm) of gas reserves in place plus 18 billion barrels of gas condensate, South Pars already accounts for around 40 percent of Iran’s total estimated 33.8 tcm of gas reserves and about 80 percent of its gas production.

Falavarjan is a city in the central province of Isfahan, the ancient name of which was ‘Barzeh,’ meaning either the branch of a tree or cultivation. The city has the potential to become a rural and ecotourism hub in the region, said the head of the city’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Department.
Hafez Karimian told ISNA that the city has a large number of ancient houses and more than 50 villages, most of which have old textures.

-- Iran, Turkey Discuss Cooperation to Fight Terrorism
The interior ministers of Iran and Turkey have debated plans for cooperation between the two neighbors in the fight against terrorism and in ensuring security along the common border.
In a telephone conversation on Thursday, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi and his Turkish counterpart Suleyman Soylu discussed plans for joint action by the two countries in the war on terrorism, promoting the bilateral and regional cooperation, the extradition of criminals, and countering drug trafficking.
-- Pardis Petrochemical Plant Exports Top $1.3bn
The CEO of Pardis Petrochemical Company Gholamreza Jamshidi has said that the company exported nearly $1.3 billion during the last fiscal year, while supplying $400 million of goods on the domestic market.
Jamshidi stated that despite the restrictions of gas feedstock in the cold season, Pardis Petrochemical operated at over 97% of its nameplate production capacity during the year.

Reza Kalhor of Iran has claimed a bronze medal in the -68kg category of the 2022 World Taekwondo Championships. Kwon Do-yun stunned defending champion Bradly Sinden of Britain to capture gold at the Centro Acuático CODE Metropolitano.
Mehran Barkhordari of Iran had already won a bronze in the -80kg. Barkhordari in the weight category of -80kgdefeated his Canadian rival in two rounds and advance to quarter-finals.

-- Iran to open intl. exhibition of World Cup cartoons concurrently with Qatar FIFA tournament
An international exhibition of cartoons on the FFIA World Cup will open on Sunday in Tehran at the same time as the football tournament in Qatar is scheduled to take place.
The exhibition will be held at the galleries of the Art Bureau of the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization, showcasing a selection of works submitted to the International World Cup Cartoon and Caricature Contest organized by the bureau.

Iran and Hungary have signed a comprehensive cooperation document at the end of the third meeting of the two countries' Joint Economic Committee held in Budapest on Thursday, IRNA reported.
The protocol of the third Iran and Hungary Joint Economic Committee meeting was signed by the Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minster Ehsan Khandouzi and the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó.
