Tehran, June 11, IRNA – Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute Deputy of Research and Technology said on Friday that the institute’s Razi-COV Pars coronavirus vaccine has been confirmed to be harmless.

Mohammad Hassan Fallah Mehrabadi told IRNA’s correspondent that the injected-inhaled recombinant corona protein vaccine was proved to be harmless in the first human clinical test phase, and it has now been reconfirmed in the second phase too.

He said that the results of vaccination of the volunteers in the vaccine’s second phase of clinical test show that it is harmless.

However, the vaccine’s immunogenicity and efficiency is yet to be verified, respectively in the second phase and in the third phase of human clinical test.

Fallah Mehrabadi predicted that Razi-COV Pars vaccine would undergo second phase of clinical test next month and the third phase would launch one month later.

He also said that 20,000 to 30,000 people are expected to be volunteered to receive the vaccine in the third phase of clinical test.

Asked about the timing for the vaccine to go to the market, he said that the vaccine might be available to the public by mid-September.
