Agha-Mohammad Khan from Qajar dynasty selected Tehran as the desirable and pleasant place to live making it the capital of the country. Historians say that 230 years ago, Agha-Mohammad Khan of Qajarid put the throne on his head at Golestan Palace and declared Tehran as capital of Iran.
