Snowfall in Tabriz
Snow has blanketed Iran’s northwestern city of Tabriz, East Azarbaijan Province, in the early days of Bahman, the second month on the Iranian Calander. Snowfall began in the city in the beginning hours of Wednesday, following a period of decreased precipitation triggered by climate change.

Snowy roads in Iran’s Kurdistan
Heavy snowfall in recent days blanketed cities and villages in mountainous Kurdistan region in western Iran. Snow and storm blocked roads linking the provincial capital of Sanandaj to Divandarreh, Saqqez, Marivan and key uphill roads in the province, causing problems for drivers and forcing road maintenance and emergency workers to launch operations to clear the roads.
