Tehran, IRNA – Persian poet, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher Khayyam used quatrains, the most compressed form of Persian classic poetry, to express the gist of his thoughts. Although he did not call himself a poet, he is much better known as a poet rather than having any other social position and this is because English poet Edward FitzGerald was the first person who introduced this Persian genius to the world as poet.
