Indian Lotus is regarded as one of the two extant species of aquatic plant which grows in lakes, wetlands as well as swamps. The beautiful plant plays an effective role in the degradation of detergents and chemicals. Its reduction poses environmental threats to the wetland. Rasht, Gilan Province.
