Zandaneh Village is located in the mountainous areas near the city of Rezvanshahr, Gilan Province, in northern Iran. The village, which lies on the road between Punel, another village in Gilan, and the city of Khalkhal in neighboring Ardebil Province, becomes deserted in winter due to strong winds and heavy snowfall. Its road is closed and buried under the snow. However, despite all the hardships created by harsh wintry weather, mesmerizing scenes are created in the village.
