A third edition of the local festival of “Qara Oghlanlou” nomads was held on Friday (April 28, 2023) in Zanjan province in central north Iran to introduce and display handicrafts, local food, traditional games and nomadic customs in the region. The participants played the games “Qayesh Gotdi”, “traditional wrestling”, “camel racing” and “rope pulling” in the village of Qara Oghlanlou, in the Zanjan-rud district of Zanjan province.
In addition to the presence of nomads from 14 villages of Zanjan province, nomads from Ardabil and East Azarbaijan provinces also participated in the event. Qara Oghlanlou village is located 85 kilometers northwest of the city of the provincial capital of Zanjan.
