Indian Lotus

Indian Lotus is one of the two extant species of aquatic plant which grows in lakes, wetlands and swamps. It has strong roots placed in the mud and is connected to the floating leaves through its long stems. This beautiful plant has an effective role in the decomposition of detergents and chemicals, so its reduction can pose more environmental threats to wetland. Rasht, Gilan Province.
